I've put up with these 1960's treasures for nearly two years now!
This weekend it was goodbye and good ridence!
My 60 cm Skygarden lights finally arrived on Thursday.
My gorgeous Dad came to the rescue again and was into it. This was definitely a two man job as they were incredibly heavy and awkward to install.
I love how the way they look quite modern but are not. From underneath they take on a more vintage feel.
I love the lovely black scrolly bit in the centre.
We had two to install which took around 4 hours.
A view from the sitting room.
I'm very happy with them. We've almost finished the upstairs of the original house now. We still have to install a gas fireplace on the wall in this room, right there behind the white lounge. We also have to landscape outside the front entry, but other than that we now have to sit and wait for the builder to commence downstairs.

They look stunning. xT
ReplyDeleteBet you are thrilled. So nice to tick things off the list isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI hope you put the "old treasures" on ebay rather than in that bin? To every light, there is a light-lover, it seems, and one woman's junk is another's treasure. Although I do rather love the effect of your new lights - very quirky and rather glam.
ReplyDeleteI love them it's amazing the difference lighting can make!
ReplyDeleteI'm so very excited about the renovation it will be absolutely something gorgeous!
